Greetings, anime enthusiasts! We’re thrilled to share some exciting news with you all. As you may have noticed, we recently underwent a transformation and changed our name from International Fan Festival to Anime Toronto. We want to take a moment to explain why we made this change and what it means for our community.
When we first launched as the International Fan Festival, our goal was to create a space where fans from around the world could come together and celebrate their love for all things fandom. While we had a fantastic time hosting events that encompassed various genres and interests, we realized that our true passion lied in the world of anime. It was the content that resonated most with our team, and it was the community that we wanted to cultivate and nurture.
Anime has become a global phenomenon, captivating millions of fans with its rich storytelling, unique art style, and diverse characters. It has evolved from a niche interest to a mainstream cultural phenomenon, and we wanted our convention to reflect that. We wanted to create a platform that would truly represent the content we were most passionate about and bring it to the forefront for our community.
After careful consideration and feedback from our attendees, we made the decision to rebrand as Anime Toronto. We believe that this new name better encapsulates our vision and purpose – to provide an inclusive space where anime fans can come together, connect, and celebrate their shared passion for anime.
So, what does this change mean for you, our beloved community? It means that we’re doubling down on our commitment to deliver the best anime convention experience possible. We’re excited to bring you even more anime-related content, including engaging panels and workshops, exciting cosplay competitions, exclusive merchandise from top vendors, and most importantly, the opportunity to connect with fellow fans who share your love for anime.
